HIA Communication on the Novel Coronavirus
In this time of uncertainty caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the safety of our Hollydell community is our highest priority. We have focused on facility cleanliness over the last year, and have redoubled our efforts to make sure the facility is sanitized daily with high use surfaces cleansed multiple times per day. This includes all facility locker rooms. To aid in our efforts to keep our community as safe as possible, we would ask our families to do their best to follow the CDC recommendations to prevent illness.
When I bought Hollydell over 2 years ago, I was frequently asked why I bought a rink. One of the primary reasons was my goal of becoming part of a community by improving and maintaining a key community resource. A place where members of the community can truly enjoy their recreational and social time. In our efforts to maintain our role in the community, we currently plan to continue with our existing schedules and programming. It is worth noting that we have no large events scheduled at the rink in the coming 6 weeks. That said, we continue to closely monitor ongoing developments. We will follow recommendations from local health authorities and USA hockey as it relates to canceling events or adapting our schedule. We also defer to the decisions of our families if a more conservative approach is appropriate for them.
Please feel free to reach out to us, and thank you for being a part of the Hollydell family.
