Hollydell Figure Skating Club



The Hollydell FSC is composed of dedicated amateur figure skaters and expert coaches. Our aim is to promote figure skating and to provide a venue for figure skaters to practice and perfect their skills for both competitions and exhibitions. Hollydell FSC is a member of the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) and the Ice Skating Institute (ISI).

Hollydell FSC Spotlights ...

Jessica

*Jessica has been skating since September 2001.
*Her short term skating goals include landing an axel and double toe loop by the end of June.
*Jessica recently competed in her first skating competition and is looking forward to competing again and winning her first medal.
*She is now in the ninth grade, 14 years old and home schooled.
*Other interests include ballet in which she is in her 7th year of and has been playing the piano for 8 years. Jessica says she will gladly play for you anything you like with the exception of Chopin.
*Another goal(outside of skating)is to have read every book that J.R.R Tolkien ever wrote by the end of 2003.
*Jessica's favorite skating move is a spiral.

Kimberly White graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in Dance Education concentrating in Modern Dance. She graduated with honors and was also the recipient of the award for outstanding student teacher. She has performed at the Merriam and Drake Theaters in Philadelphia, the Danny Kaye Playhouse in New York City, the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and also on WPVI's Puerto Rican Panorama. She again received another privilege when asked to perform with Baryshnikov's White Oak Dance Project as a community cast member. Kimberly holds memberships in both the National Dance Educators' Organization and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. She became involved in outreach activities public and private schools in the tri-state area through Connections Dance Company, Delaware Valley Institute for the Arts, and Delaware Institute for Arts in Education. Recently she joined the large international network of licensed Kindermusik Educators. Kimberly teaches ballet, jazz, modern dance, creative dance and Kindermusik at Chez Dance Studio in Washington Township. Kimberly is very excited about teaching the ballet program for the Hollydell Figure Skating Club. Her love and enthusiasm for the arts is unending and she is always thrilled to share it with the young people she teaches.
